Hey farm friends,
Every year as spring time rolls back around we have such high hopes of staying on top of things better, but very quickly it starts to spiral out of control again 😅
So I thought I’d send this quick note as a bit of an apology (as well as an explanation!) for my unintended “farm maternity leave” from our newsletter!
💡 In an ideal world, there would be such a thing as paid maternity leave (from our full time jobs) to take care of all the babies during baby season!
First, the explanation…
…we’ve had so. many. BABIES!
Here’s our 2025 Baby Season numbers (so far)
5 baby goats landed in February
Our Valentine’s Day triplets already found their new home in Raymond!
13 lambs arrived in March
10 more baby goats have already arrived in April…
Penelope (triplet Nigerian Dwarf goats)
Sweet Pea (twin Nigerian Dwarf goats)
Cinnamon (twin Mini Manchas)
Cookie (triplet Nigerian Dwarf goats)
At least 2 (possibly 4!) more sets of goats are still to come
Star
Crunch
Ginger (not confirmed, but hopeful!)
Padme (not confirmed, but hopeful!)
Note: Meet all of our dairy goats on our Raw Goat Milk page
To round out the baby season, our 3 cows should also be calving in summer
Second, here’s the apology…
PHOTOS!!!!!!!!

We’re still knee deep in the thick of babies everywhere, but we will do our darndest to keep you updated (at least with Photo Friday) until things calm down a little more on our end.
But for now, here’s some quick updates from the farm!
Our Rams as well as our Dairy Goats are already enjoying some time on the pastures this spring - and we are SO thankful for more rain yesterday!
This weekend, we started making our Summer Seasonal Recipe for Goat Milk Soap
Here’s a hint of the flavor: 🍊🌿
In just 3 days, we sold out of our 2025 lambs
If you’re interested in baby goats, make sure you’re signed up for our Baby Goat Waitlist or you might miss out too!
Oh, also - in that March ice storm, the farm was out of power for 2 days! 😲 We learned a lot and are better prepared if it ever happens again
Poll Time!
We’re in the planning stage of hosting a raffle for a pair of registered baby goats with 100% proceeds going to one of our favorite local nonprofits - The Hope Venture.
Any feedback from today’s update is appreciated!
Drop us a comment, reply via email, or share this post with someone who might be interested in the raffle!
Congratulations!! They are adorable!
Wow, wow, wow........must be a lot of storks flying over your farm these last couple of months!!! Love you, guys!!!
