Hello friends!

If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember last years update about Shearing Day, and this year we’ve only got 1 wool sheep left (Almond), as we’re in transition to 100% American Blackbelly Hair Sheep… that do not require shearing since they shed naturally like goats!

So let’s get to this year’s photos!

Shearing Day 2025

Almond is a sweet girl (her mom was Joy!) and she’s the last of our wooly sheep. We forgot to get pictures of her until she was already in the Subaru!

Here she is immediately after a 15 minute shearing. Thankfully, our shearer really liked her and it was a quick and easy process for her.

Almond was happy to get back home after an hour drive to her hairdresser and back.

Back with her girls! All is well in the Red Barn Sheep Pen now :)
