Happy May, friends!

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and there are baby chicks EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK - including here at the farm 🐣

They’re still doing their best to grow big and strong, so here’s a few photos of them before their official “awkward” stage, plus a throwback to 5 years ago when we were building our first chicken coop.

Baby Chicks

We have 2 “miracle chicks” that survived the farm losing power for their last 2 days of incubation, but all other chicks are about 3 weeks younger. They all get along surprisingly well!

Throwback to building a chicken coop in 2020

Jeff was so happy with himself building our Eglu Cube when we were still living in town and got our first batch of bantam silkies. This coop is so well made, that we still use it for one of our flocks at the farm today!

Building the coop ALMOST defeated Jeff though.. but he made it through to build another day :)
