October 6, 2025: Where's the Beef?
We've got 1 steer left that goes into processing this month for you to call dibs on!
Hey friend!
Sheesh. What a journey this summer has been!
Looking at our last post, we’ve got a little explaining to do 🫣
See below for some farm highlights for the last couple of months, and don’t miss out on reserving beef from our last available steer!
Cattle
GRASS FED BEEF: We’ve got one final steer that is ready to be processed this month so reach out if you’d be interested in a half or whole beef!
COWS: Our 2026 momma cows get preg-checked this week so we should know in another couple weeks how many babies we can be expecting for next summer - we’re praying it’s all 4!
It’s exciting to reflect back on when we first got these cows and how much they are a perfect fit for our little farm. Check out our throwback to when they first arrived! 👇
Goats
MILKING: Our 2025 milking season officially ends October 31st. If you’re interested in getting some Raw Goat Milk in 2026, make sure to sign up for our Waitlist!
Side Note: We’ve been kicking around the idea of testing out a Raw Goat Milk Coffee stand at the farm maybe next season. If we did, would you swing by to pick up a drink to support the farm?
BUFORD: Welp. It wasn’t just a couple days after we posted our excitement about Big Beautiful Buford in August that Jeff got his hand sliced open by one of his horns when trying to catch him for the first time (who knew those long horns could be so sharp!). Ultimately, we decided we were not set up for such a big guy quite yet so we pivoted our plans, sold Buford to a new home, Jeff got his hand all healed up, and the silver lining is that little Thunder gets to breed all the ladies this fall 👇
Sheep
SHEEP: One of my absolute favorite parts of chores each day is getting to the ewe pen to feed “my sheepies”, and once we feed the starving little hungries Jeff and I just take a few minutes giving them scratches and interacting with them. My heart just explodes with warmth every single time 🥰

EWE/LAMB PAIR FOR SALE: These would make a great starter flock for anyone who wants to get started raising American Blackbelly Sheep or a great addition to your current flock if you already have some.
That’s it for today’s update.
See you next time!
